Grade calculator
Most classes weight tests, quizzes and homework differently. Put in each category's weight from your syllabus and your score in it, and see your real class grade.
Your grade
88.9%
B+
Based on 85% of the grade. Categories without a score don't count yet.
How it works
Each category counts for its weight. With tests at 40% and an 84 average, tests add 0.4 times 84, or 33.6 points. Add up every category the same way to get your grade.
If a category has no scores yet, leave it blank. The calculator works out your grade from the categories that do, the same way most online gradebooks show a running grade.

How do weighted grades work?
Each category is worth a share of your grade. Multiply each category's average by its weight, add them up, and divide by the total weight of the categories that have scores.
What if my weights don't add up to 100%?
Double-check your syllabus. The calculator still works, because it divides by the total weight, but a mismatch usually means a category is missing.
My class uses points, not categories. What do I use?
Add up the points you've earned and divide by the points possible. In ClassPilot, grades from Google Classroom are calculated that way automatically.
